does this count?

I havent been stitching on my Fairy Grandomother Lately because ive been trying to finish my angel ... I started this a few Months ago for my ex-boss wife ... she asked for an angel after losing her baby and after a few months ago of being tossed in my WIP drawer I finally got the courage to stitch those wings ... I was terrified of them for some reason. Anyways heres my finish and of course I framed it myself now I just have to get the courage to give it to her since I quit in april . oh well i hope she likes when i finally decide to give it to her

Celtic Autumn by Tracy J

Hi, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Tracy; I sometimes go by Teejay or Tracy J on the blogs. I have been stitching for over 20 years. Over the last 4 or 5 years my stitching hobby became intertwined with my love of the internet. I have found so many new endeavors to pursue that involve stitching online. I found ebay and have bought and sold stuff, I found blogging and have made many new friends and have given and received inspiration, and most importantly, I have found many ONSs to browse at my convenience in my pj's. I have been using blogger for over 2 years now and it is my favorite online activity. Every year I am learning more about the art of stitching.

When I saw this blog, I thought how wonderfully inspiring is this. This wasn't around when I stitched my Celtic Autumn back in 2005. I wanted to display it here in the hopes of giving a little inspiration and Suzanne was kind enough to invite me to be a member just for this purpose, so here it is.

Celtic Spring was one that I bought on ebay.

Who knows, perhaps I will be inspired to stitch another one.

You can see more of my stitching at Passion of the Day.

Hugs,
Tracy

Little progress, but a true Finish!

Hello, it's Alissa! It has been a very, very long time since I last updated, and unfortunately, that was probably about the last time I worked on the Angel of Spring. I've had tons of personal things going on, including the D-word (which is really for the best, so it's okay!!!), a new job, and a new place to live.

However, I did finally get my Angel of Winter framed as a gift to myself for my birthday last month. I finished her in 2006, so this was rather monumental for me. :) I went with a modern frame because that is the style of my home.
Happy stitching to all, and I have finally picked the needle and thread back up, although it is to finish a biscornu started last year. But she is calling me, so soon, and updates!

Angel of Grace update

You guys have been so inspiring lately!

I got out my Angel of Grace and finished her wings -
here's what she looked like

and here's how she looks now. (she no longer fits on my scanner, I'll have to switch to pics next)

Ok here is my update a little late...but I got her hair and the instrament done along
with the little bit of back stitching.

Monday, April 27, 2009

Well here is my weekly update. I finished the barley blue in her skirt and sleeves and finished the violin (i think) almost completly.
The next part I am going to do in the rest of the violin and basically everything right of her then move on to her hair and wings.
I myself do not set any goals really I usually work by colour and what I mean by this is that I will start one colour and work that colour in as many places I can to finish it before going on to the next colour. hope that helps.

IMPRESSED

WOW LADIES, you sure know how to stimulate.
Val, how did you sew so fact? Tell me how you do it? I take forever just to take do 10 stitches. What is your trick?
Tammy, thank you for posting your accomplishment weekly, It does keep me stimulated and on track and to even tell me what you plan to stitch as you did on April , ( you said you hope to stitch her head) has helped me to make goals for my self. So maybe you can keep on tell us your goals.

Here is my stitching for the past two weeks. I ran out of batteries and every time I went to the store, I forgot to buy them.

The next two Tuesdays I will be visiting my children in Adelaide. Won't take this stitching with me as I have it on a big frame and also I use a large magnifing glass with a light on it. But hope to get some stitching done today so that when I come back I will hae something to show.

Keep stitching ladies.

Happy Stitching Hugs, KATHY
